SEO World Cup Sweepstake 2014

May 25, 2014 - 3 minutes read

Considering June 2014 marks the start of a once every 4 year phenomenon causing much contention between international colleagues, hungover mornings (from staying up late watching games beamed in from the other side of the world) and ultimately everyone willing the English to get knocked out in the early stages…

I thought that we could share the collective anticipation for one of the worlds biggest sporting events by doing what us geeks do best and putting our money where our mouth is backing a team (chosen at random) to win the whole bloody thing.

SEO World Cup Sweepstake

Rules:

  • Only 32 entrants (one per country)
  • All entrants chosen country will be done via an independent third party to avoid any fiddling
  • All entrants once committing via the form below will have to transfer the money to me. If you fail to do this by the deadline of 5th June 2014, your place will be sacrificed for someone else
  • In case anyone is worried about me having some £10 from each of you then I suggest you relax a little. I’m not going to ride off into the sunset with a grand total of £310 (excluding my own bid). If you’re unhappy with this for whatever reason then that’s cool, there’s plenty of others that will happily take your place.

Prizes:

  • The lucky person who’s team wins the competition will receive a massive £250
  • The team that comes 2nd place will receive a comforting £50
  • 3rd place gets you £20
  • Anything lower than that and I’m afraid your out of luck and you should have encouraged your team to play better!

Please feel free to share the competition amongst those that you believe may be interested. Notice: there is only a limited amount of places therefore if you’re too late, you’re too late.
